List of courses

UNIVERSITY TEACHING
- TH OWL
- UHH
- ZU
- UniTü
At the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences, I am responsible for the modules "Media Production": Media epistemology, scientific work, project management, media didactics and creative writing; this is also where I primarily contribute my teaching load. In addition, I offer interdisciplinary courses through the Institute for Academic Dialogue (IWD) and am involved in the qualification of doctoral students at the OWL Graduate Centre.
At the University of Hamburg, I held a post-doctoral position at the Hamburg Centre for University Teaching and Learning (HUL). There I designed the module "Science Studies" in the Master's programme for university teachers "Higher Education, M.A".

At the University of Tübingen, I was a research associate from 2010-2014. Here, I developed a module in the "Virtual Rhetoric" programme, funded by the BMBF, which emerged from a cooperation between the Seminar for General Rhetoric and the German Seminar at the University of Tübingen. During my employment, the programme was firmly implemented in the curriculum of the Transdisciplinary Course Programme there. In 2014, the University of Tübingen awarded me its teaching prize for this project.
TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS

In the summer semester of 2019, I carried out a teaching assignment at Kiel University aimed at university lecturers researching their own teaching. Since the winter semester 2019/20, I have been conducting postgraduate workshops here as part of the university didactic qualification programme as well as continuing academic education.
At Coburg University of Applied Sciences, I was a lecturer for the module Communication/Cooperation/Moderation/Communication II in the Master’s programme “Future Design” from 2019-2021.

In Clausthal, I accepted a teaching position at the Department of Informatics – Software Systems Engineering for the winter semester 2018/19. The doctoral students of the department receive several days of intensive doctoral training with follow-up at the end of the semester. The focus is on the targeted development and revision of research texts and the systematic development of doctoral projects.
At TU Darmstadt, I work for Ingenium – Young Researchers at TU Darmstadt. This is the umbrella organisation for the promotion of young researchers at the university. In cooperation with its members – the departments, graduate schools and research training groups – Ingenium promotes young researchers with regard to plural career goals and supports its members in the implementation of goals for the promotion of young researchers. In the summer semester of 2020, I designed and conducted an online seminar on the topic of “Good Scientific Practice” for the DFG Research Training Group KRITIS – Graduate School on Critical Infrastructures in this context.
At Goethe University Frankfurt, I have been a lecturer for scientific work and writing within the framework of the (post-)graduate academy GRADE since 2019. The focus of my course here is the structured development of a doctorate using my own process model for knowledge organisation.

Since the winter semester 2017/18, I have had a lectureship in the Graduate Academy of the University of Kassel, which focuses on research ethics issues of good scientific practice.

From the winter semester 2016/2017 to the winter semester 2017/18, I carried out teaching assignments at the University of Lübeck as part of the university’s internal SoTL initiative. Furthermore, from 2016-2020 I was continuously part of the selection committee for the university-wide university teaching award, three times as chairman of the committee.
VOCATIONAL AND IN-COMPANY TRAINING
- BOSCH
- DEval
- Fraunhofer
Since 2014, I have been working part-time for the doctoral programme of Robert Bosch GmbH at the Stuttgart, Renningen and Gerlingen locations. Here, I give doctoral seminars for interdisciplinary groups on procedural models and methods of scientific text writing and the supervision and scientific monitoring of BA/MA theses by postgraduate students. Since 2018 I have been offering this course in the English language.

The German Institute for Development Evaluation (DEval) was established in 2012. It provides governmental and non-governmental development cooperation organisations with independent and scientifically sound evaluations, which they can feed into their strategies, instruments and programmes. By enabling evidence-based policy-making, DEval aims to make German development cooperation more effective and to increase transparency in the use of public funds. For this purpose, DEval is mandated by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). In autumn 2017, 2019 and 2020, I have carried out extensive teaching assignments on scientific reporting for DEval evaluators in each case.

Since 2018, I have been working as a trainer and consultant for various Fraunhofer Institutes in the context of doctoral supervision.
